October 31st Deadline for Mandatory Safety Training is Approaching FAST!

Builders Exchange Logo

Time is flying by and the October 31st deadline for completing mandatory safety training for continued participation in the AGC-SIF Workers’ Compensation program is here.  Two hours of safety training must be completed as soon as possible.  To ensure our members meet this critical deadline, Builders Exchange of Kentucky is offering three ways to participate in safety training.

First, we are offering several courses at our Louisville office located at 2300 Meadow Drive, 40218.  On October 15th, we are offering a CPR/First Aid/Bloodborne Pathogen training class for $85.00 per person.  The training will be held from 8:00a.m. – 1:30p.m.

On October 20th & 21st, we will be offering an OSHA 10-hour course for $180.00 per person.  On the 20th, the class will be held from 8:00a.m. to 4:30p.m. and on the 21st, we will finish up the class from 8:00a.m. – noon.

On October 23rd, we will be offering two free classes that will be provided by the Kentucky Labor Cabinet for Builders Exchange members only.  The first class will be “Illness and Injury Reporting & Recordkeeping” and will be held from 8:00a.m. – 12:00p.m.  The second class offered on the 23rd will be “An Overview of the Kentucky OSHA Program.”  That class will begin at 1:30p.m. and end at 4:30p.m.

Lastly, for the “in person” classes, on November 5th, we will host a “last call” class for those who haven’t completed their safety training by the October 31st deadline.  This course will include several general safety-related topics and will be held from 8:00 – 10:00a.m.  The cost of this class is $30.00 per person and will be acceptable even though technically the deadline has passed.

As space is limited, please register as soon as possible by emailing me at, or faxing me your name, company name, phone number, and what class you will be attending to 502-459-9803.

Second, if you prefer an online option, please go to and you can review the free training options.  Just check the length of time of each course to make sure you participate in two total hours of training.   Once you have watched the videos, please send me an email with the name of the courses and the date you watched them or send me a copy of the certificates of completion.  I will submit your training to the Fund once I receive confirmation you have completed the training.

Third, if you have already participated in a total of two hours of safety training this year, please send me the following information: title of the course, participant’s name, date of training, and the trainer’s name.  If you have a certificate of completion, please fax it to me at 502-459-9803.

If you have received this letter and know you have completed your training for this year, please let me know as soon as possible via email or phone at 502-459-9800.

Best regards,
